The Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) football trounced the host LaFayette Ramblers (LaFayette, GA), 48-7 in Friday's league outing.

The Bobcats now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Calhoun for a AAA Region 7 outing on Friday, October 18. Gilmer will clash with a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 55-21 league win over Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, LaFayette drops to 0-8 on the campaign. The Ramblers travel to Heritage (Ringgold, GA) to clash with the Generals in a AAA Region 7 outing on Friday, October 18.
