The Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE) football were winner over the visiting Gordon-Rushville Mustangs (Gordon, NE), 40-30 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers play the Kearney Catholic Stars (Kearney, NE) in a C2 District 6 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Hershey will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Stars go into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 41-38 league loss to Mitchell (Mitchell, NE).

The Mustangs (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Valentine (Valentine, NE). The go into the C2 District 6 challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Valentine toppled Amherst (Amherst, NE), 37-8, in a league challenge.
