October 11, 2024: Yoakum, TX 77995 The Yoakum Bulldogs football squad scored 55 points and limited the visiting Hempstead Bobcats to 14 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Columbus for a 3A-1 Region III District 12 test on Friday, October 18. Yoakum will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 56-8 non-league win over Rogers (Rogers, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-0.
With the defeat, Hempstead drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Hitchcock (Hitchcock, TX) to meet the Bulldogs in a 3A-1 Region III District 12 test on Friday, October 18. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 5-1. Hitchcock won 56-9 in their recent league test against Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX)
