October 11, 2024: Paintsville, KY 41240 The Johnson Central Golden Eagles football squad scored 48 points and limited the visiting Rowan County Vikings to 6 in the Golden Eagles league triumph on Friday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Greenup County for a 4A District 6 test on Friday, October 18. Johnson Central will meet a Musketeers squad coming off a 42-37 league win over Boyd County (Ashland, KY). The Musketeers record now stands at 6-1.
With the defeat, Rowan County drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Boyd County (Ashland, KY) to meet the Lions in a 4A District 6 test on Friday, October 18. The Lions come into the test with a record of 3-4. Boyd County lost 49-21 in their recent league test against Blazer (Ashland, KY)
