In Friday's league match, the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves football squad scored a close 35-28 victory over the Ledford Panthers.

The Timberwolves (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Spartans enter the Mid-Piedmont 3A match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Central Davidson got by Asheboro (Asheboro, NC), 56-28, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Panthers confront the Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) in a Mid-Piedmont 3A match, on Friday, October 18. Ledford will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Grizzlies enter the match with a 6-1 record after their 17-0 league win over North Davidson (Lexington, NC).
