The Leroy Bears (Leroy, AL) football were winner over the visiting Southern Choctaw Indians (Gilbertown, AL), 28-6 in Friday's league outing.

The Bears now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fruitdale for a 1A Region 1 outing on Friday, October 18. Leroy will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 55-12 league loss to Sweet Water (Sweet Water, AL). The Pirates record now stands at 1-7.

With the defeat, Southern Choctaw drops to 5-2 on the campaign. The Indians host Millry (Millry, AL) to clash with the Wildcats in a 1A Region 1 outing on Friday, October 18. The Wildcats come into the outing with a record of 5-3. Millry won 63-0 in their recent league outing against Shields (Beatrice, AL)
