In Friday's league match, the visiting Middle Creek Mustangs football squad scored a good 31-14 triumph over the Panther Creek Catamounts.

The Mustangs (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Apex (Apex, NC). The Cougars come into the 4A Southeast Wake match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Apex was beaten by Apex Friendship (Apex, NC), 42-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Catamounts confront the Green Level Gators (Cary, NC) in a 4A Southeast Wake match, on Friday, October 18. Panther Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Gators come into the match with a 1-6 record after their 45-6 league loss to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC).
