October 11, 2024: Picayune, MS 39466 Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Pascagoula Panthers (Pascagoula, MS), 38-28 in a league battle.
With the win, Picayune advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Maroon Tide travel to West Harrison (Gulfport, MS) to play the Hurricanes in a 6A Region 4 battle on Friday, October 18. The Hurricanes go into the battle with a record of 4-2. West Harrison lost 21-20 in their recent league battle against Hancock (Kiln, MS)
The Panthers now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Long Beach for a 6A Region 4 battle on Friday, October 18. Pascagoula will play a Bearcats team coming off a 48-13 league loss to George County (Lucedale, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-5.
