Massachusetts High School Football - Waltham thwarted by Westford Academy
October 11, 2024: Westford, MA 01886 Westford Academy Grey Ghosts (Westford, MA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Waltham Hawks (Waltham, MA), 35-7 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Westford Academy improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Grey Ghosts travel to Concord-Carlisle (Concord, MA) to play the Patriots in a Dual County - Thorpe battle on Friday, October 18. The Patriots go into the battle with a record of 4-1. Concord-Carlisle won 42-19 in their recent league battle against Newton South (Newton, MA)
The Hawks now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Wayland for a Dual County - Foley battle on Friday, October 18. Waltham will play a Warriors team coming off a 28-7 non-league win over Lincoln-Sudbury (Sudbury, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-1.
