In Friday's league challenge, the visiting Covington Owls volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Morgan Eagles.

The Owls (7-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Blum (Blum, TX). The Bobcats come into the 1A Region III District 17 challenge with a 19-11 record. In their last challenge, Blum was nudged by Ovilla Christian (Red Oak, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
