October 11, 2024: Mathis, TX 78368 McMullen County Cowboys (Tilden, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Mathis Pirates (Mathis, TX), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, McMullen County improves its record to 15-19 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Benavides (Benavides, TX) to face the Eagles in a 1A Region IV District 31 test on Tuesday, October 15. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 0-9. Benavides lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Runge (Runge, TX)
The Pirates now own a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Odem for a 3A Region IV District 29 test on Tuesday, October 15.
