The Patuxent Panthers football team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Thomas Stone Cougars to 0 in the Panthers non-league win on Saturday.

In their next game, the Panthers play the Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 17. Patuxent will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 34-14 non-league loss to North Point (Waldorf, MD).

The Cougars (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Northern (Owings, MD). The Patriots enter the Class 2A South challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Northern was ripped by St. Charles (Waldorf, MD), 24-22, in a non-league challenge.
