In Saturday's league game, the Seton Hall Prep Pirates (West Orange, NJ) football team edged the host Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ), by a tally of 17-15.

Next up, the Pirates encounter the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen (Ramsey, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, October 18. Seton Hall Prep will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Ironmen go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 17-14 league win over St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, NJ).
