Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Auburn Bulldogs (Auburn, NE) and the host Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE), observed Auburn's volleyball team hold off Bruning-Davenport/Shickley by a tally of 2-1.

The Bulldogs (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mead (Mead, NE). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 10-16 record. In their last contest, Mead was tipped by Osceola (Osceola, NE), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host McCool Junction for a D1 District 4 test on Tuesday, October 14.
