Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Downey Knights (Modesto, CA) and the host Central Catholic Raiders (Modesto, CA), observed Downey's volleyball team hold off Central Catholic by a tally of 2-1.

The Knights (24-9) will now prepare for their contest against College Park (Pleasant Hill, CA). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, College Park was tipped by Acalanes (Lafayette, CA), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Raiders meet the Atwater Falcons (Atwater, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 11. Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 15-5 record after their 3-2 league win over Merced (Merced, CA).
