St. Clair County Fighting Saints (Odenville, AL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the visiting Central Wildcats (Florence, AL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Fighting Saints (24-20) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln (Lincoln, AL). The Golden Bears go into the non-league test with a 10-16 record. In their last test, Lincoln was edged by New Hope (New Hope, AL), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 37-15 record.
