Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview over Defiance
October 11, 2025: Defiance, OH 43512 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Defiance Bulldogs.
The Wildcats (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Gilmour Academy (Gates Mills, OH). The Lancers enter the non-league challenge with a 9-9 record. In their last challenge, Gilmour Academy was beaten by Bishop Watterson (Columbus, OH), 2-1, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 8-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elida for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 15. Defiance will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Memorial (St. Marys, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-13.

DEFIANCE - In the final road match of the 2025 campaign, the Cats were able to battle the Bulldogs of Defiance in a four set battle to move Northview to 13-8 on the season.
Leading for Northview was senior outside hitter, Talia Twigg, with a career high and team high 21 kills, while adding a team high 16 digs for another double-double, while hitting .486. The Cats also received big time attacking from junior middle blocker, Frankie Ramsdell-Washington with 10 kills, hitting .563 and adding 5 blocks, and freshman opposite, Lilly Smith, with 12 kills, hitting .526. The Cats offense was masterfully led by junior setter, Alayna Sauer with 50 assists, 7 digs, 3 kills, 4 blocks and 5 aces. Defensive, junior defensive specialist, Kyra Ervin added 13 digs and sophomore libero, Jade Hagan added 11.
