The Mt. Vernon Marauders held off the visiting Floyd Central Highlanders volleyball team by a margin of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Marauders now possess a 19-9 record. They play next when they travel to NorthWood for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 11. Mt. Vernon will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Wawasee (Syracuse, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 14-12.

With the loss, Floyd Central drops to 22-5 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Brownstown Central (Brownstown, IN) to clash with the Braves in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 11.
