In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Mahtomedi Zephyrs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Hutchinson Tigers.

The Zephyrs (16-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN). The Fire come into the non-league challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, Holy Family Catholic was nudged by Southwest Christian (Chaska, MN), 3-1, in a league challenge.
