In Saturday's non-league bout, the Speedway Sparkplugs (Speedway, IN) volleyball team knocked off the host Owen Valley Patriots (Spencer, IN), by a margin of 2-0.

The Sparkplugs now possess a 7-21 record. They play next when they travel to Edgewood for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 16. Speedway will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Silver Creek (Sellersburg, IN). The Mustangs record now stands at 16-14.

With the loss, Owen Valley drops to 5-21 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Cascade (Clayton, IN) to clash with the Cadets in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 16. The Cadets come into the bout with a record of 17-12. Cascade lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Indianapolis Lutheran (Indianapolis, IN)
