October 11, 2025: Peoria, IL 61604 The Wethersfield Flying Geese volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Peoria Lions to 0 in the Flying Geese non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Flying Geese now possess a 24-5 record. They play next when they travel to Bureau Valley for a Lincoln Trail outing on Wednesday, October 15. Wethersfield will play a Storm team coming off a 2-0 league win over Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL). The Storm record now stands at 14-13.
With the loss, Peoria drops to 1-17 on the campaign. The Lions host Danville (Danville, IL) to play the Vikings in a Big Twelve outing on Tuesday, October 14. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 2-21.
