Virginia High School Football - Alleghany knocked off by Staunton River
October 12, 2021: Moneta, VA 24121 Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) fans left the game content Tuesday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), 37-6 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Staunton River improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles host Northside (Roanoke, VA) to confront the Vikings in a non-league test on Friday, October 15. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 2-4. Northside won 34-33 in their recent league test against Fleming (Roanoke, VA)
With the loss, Alleghany drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Glenvar (Salem, VA) to confront the Highlanders in a Three Rivers test on Friday, October 15. The Highlanders come into the test with a record of 5-1. Glenvar won 54-0 in their recent league test against Floyd County (Floyd, VA)
