North Carolina High School Soccer - Porter Ridge held off by Piedmont
October 12, 2022: Indian Trail, NC 28079 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) and the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), saw Piedmont's soccer squad get by Porter Ridge by a margin of 3-2.
The Panthers now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Central Academy for a non-league test on Friday, October 14. Piedmont will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Concord (Concord, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-12.
With the loss, Porter Ridge drops to 5-8 on the season. The Pirates travel to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to meet the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Monday, October 17. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 8-3. Cuthbertson won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC)
