October 12, 2022: Providence, RI 02906 The crowd at Wednesday's league test between the Wheeler Warriors (Providence, RI) and the visiting Winchendon Wapiti (Winchendon, MA), saw Wheeler's soccer squad triumph over Winchendon by a count of 7-1.
The Warriors now hold a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Austin Prep for a test on Tuesday, October 18. Wheeler will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Greenwich Country Day (Greenwich, CT). The Cougars record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, Winchendon drops to 0-4 on the season. The Wapiti host St. Andrew's (Barrington, RI) to meet the Saints in a non-league test on Saturday, October 15. The Saints come into the test with a record of 5-5. St. Andrew's won 5-1 in their recent non-league test against Wilbraham & Monson Academy (Wilbraham, MA)
