The Corona del Sol Aztecs held off the visiting Xavier College Prep Gators volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Aztecs now have a 26-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Desert Vista for a 6A - Central test on Thursday, October 13. Corona del Sol will confront a Thunder team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ). The Thunder record now stands at 17-12.

The Gators (16-11) will now prepare for their test against Basha (Chandler, AZ). The Bears enter the 6A - Premier test with a 9-14 record. In their last test, Basha was nudged by O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league test.
