In Thursday's league game, the Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL) football team knocked off the visiting Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL), by a final score of 41-14.

The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Briarwood Christian (Birmingham, AL). The Lions come into the 6A Region 3 game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Briarwood Christian toppled Calera (Calera, AL), 38-0, in a league game.

The Panthers now hold a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Homewood for a 6A Region 3 game on Friday, October 20. Pelham will battle a Patriots team coming off a 34-13 league win over Chilton County (Clanton, AL). The Patriots record now stands at 4-3.
