With the win, Shelby improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Golden Lions host East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC) to confront the Warriors in a non-league test on Thursday, October 19. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 4-3. East Gaston lost 16-0 in their recent non-league test against Burns (Lawndale, NC)

The Hilltoppers go into the test with a record of 3-5. R-S Central won 28-24 in their recent non-league test against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC)
