October 12, 2023: Oakland, CA 94618 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Holy Names Monarchs (Oakland, CA) and the visiting Summit K2 Dragons (El Cerrito, CA), saw Holy Names's volleyball squad beat Summit K2 by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Holy Names upgrades its record to 12-11 on the year. The Monarchs host Cornerstone Christian (Antioch, CA) to play the Cougars in a Bay Counties - General bout on Friday, October 13. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-14. Cornerstone Christian lost 3-2 in their recent league bout against Fremont Christian (Fremont, CA)
The Dragons now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Oakland Military Institute for a non-league bout on Friday, October 13. Summit K2 will play a Grizzlies squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Bay Tech (Oakland, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-5.
