The James River HomeSchool Eagles held off the visiting The New Community School Sabers volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles now have a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fredericksburg Victory for a VHSAA test on Friday, October 13. James River HomeSchool will confront a Victory team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Central Virginia HomeSchool Athletic Association (Amelia Court House, VA). The Victory record now stands at 17-14.
The Sabers (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Millwood (Midlothian, VA). The Bobcats enter the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Millwood was nudged by Guardian Christian Academy (Chesterfield, VA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
