Kentucky High School Volleyball - Washington County tips Spencer County
October 12, 2023: Taylorsville, KY 40071 Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Commanders clash with the Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees (Bardstown, KY) in a District 19 match, on Monday, October 16. Washington County will attempt to advance on its 8-14 season record. The Eagles/Banshees come into the match with a 6-22 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY).
With the loss, Spencer County drops to 6-20 on the campaign. The Bears host Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY) to clash with the Bearcats in a District 30 match on Monday, October 16. The Bearcats come into the match with a record of 12-13. Anderson County lost 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Tates Creek (Lexington, KY)
