Connecticut High School Soccer - Plainfield toppled by Portland
October 12, 2024: Portland, CT 06480 Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT), 4-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Portland advances its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Lakeview (Litchfield, CT) to meet the Warriors in a match on Wednesday, October 16. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 3-8.
The Panthers now sport a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Wheeler for a non-league match on Wednesday, October 16. Plainfield will meet a Lions team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Norwich RVT (Norwich, CT). The Lions record now stands at 8-6.
