October 12, 2024: Cumberland, WI 54829 Cumberland Beavers (Cumberland, WI) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Washburn Castle Guards (Washburn, WI), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Cumberland improves its record to 12-20 on the season. The Beavers host Cadott (Cadott, WI) to face the Hornets in a non-league test on Saturday, October 12. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 15-15. Cadott lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Bloomer (Bloomer, WI)
The Castle Guards now own a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hurley for a Indianhead - East test on Thursday, October 17. Washburn will face a Northstars squad coming off a 3-1 league win over South Shore (Port Wing, WI). The Northstars record now stands at 5-9.
