In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Oak Forest Bengals volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Galesburg Silver Streaks.

The Bengals (16-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL). The Meteors come into the South Suburban challenge with a 11-16 record.

Next, the Silver Streaks play the DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 12. Galesburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-20 season record. The Barbs come into the challenge with a 9-13 record after their 2-1 league loss to Naperville North (Naperville, IL).
