October 12, 2025: Mechanicville, NY 12118 Mechanicville Red Raiders (Mechanicville, NY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Sunday as they witnessed their soccer squad triumph over the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), 6-0 in a non-league outing.
The Red Raiders (11-4) will now prepare for their outing against Hoosic Valley (Schaghticoke, NY). The Hawks enter the Wasaren outing with a 8-7 record. In their last outing, Hoosic Valley was overwhelmed by Fort Ann (Fort Ann, NY), 2-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Goldbacks clash with the Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, October 14. Newburgh Free Academy will attempt to move on its 1-10 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 7-3 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY).
