In Thursday's league match, the visiting Cypress Centurions football squad scored a big 56-17 victory over the Kennedy Fighting Irish.

In their next game, the Centurions clash with the Valencia Tigers (Placentia, CA) in a Empire match, on Thursday, October 20. Cypress will attempt to move on its 8-0 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 1-7 record after their 28-23 league loss to Tustin (Tustin, CA).

The Fighting Irish (1-7) will now prepare for their match against Pacifica (Garden Grove, CA). The Mariners enter the Empire match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, Pacifica was crushed by Crean Lutheran (Irvine, CA), 35-7, in a league match.
