North Carolina High School Football - Central Davidson held off by Montgomery Central
October 13, 2022: Lexington, NC 27292 Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) fans left the game content Thursday as they saw their football team nip the host Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC), 12-8 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Montgomery Central improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Timberwolves travel to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC) to battle the Grizzlies in a non-league test on Thursday, October 20. The Grizzlies come into the test with a record of 8-0. Oak Grove won 41-0 in their recent non-league test against Ledford (Thomasville, NC)
The Spartans now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Davidson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 20. Central Davidson will meet a Black Knights team coming off a 23-19 non-league win over Asheboro (Asheboro, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 2-5.
