October 13, 2022: South Boston, VA 24592 In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting George Washington Eagles football squad scored a big 56-16 victory over the Halifax County Comets.
In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 20. George Washington will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Bengals enter the match with a 5-2 record after their 54-8 non-league win over Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
The Comets (1-4) will now prepare for their match against Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cougars enter the non-league match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Patrick County was crushed by Bassett (Bassett, VA), 33-6, in a non-league match.
