October 13, 2022: Manchester, CT 06040 Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Manchester Red Hawks (Manchester, CT), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Spartans confront the Plainville Blue Devils (Plainville, CT) in a Central Connecticut - Central challenge, on Tuesday, October 18. Maloney will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 5-1 league win over New Britain (New Britain, CT).
The Red Hawks now possess a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host South Windsor for a Central Connecticut - Central challenge on Tuesday, October 18. Manchester will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 3-0 league win over Rocky Hill (Rocky Hill, CT). The Bobcats record now stands at 8-0.
