Texas High School Football - Calallen drops to Alice
October 13, 2023: Alice, TX 78332 In Friday's league game, the Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX) football team knocked off the visiting Calallen Wildcats (Corpus Christi, TX), by a final score of 21-7.
The Coyotes (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX). The Pirates come into the 4A-1 Region IV District 16 game with a 0-7 record. In their last game, Hidalgo was dropped by La Feria (La Feria, TX), 35-14, in a league game.
The Wildcats now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Tuloso-Midway for a 4A-1 Region IV District 16 game on Friday, October 20. Calallen will battle a Warriors/Cherokees team coming off a 40-14 league loss to Alice (Alice, TX). The Warriors/Cherokees record now stands at 6-1.
