In Friday's league game, the Valley Tigers (West Des Moines, IA) football team tipped the visiting Ankeny Hawks (Ankeny, IA), by a final score of 24-23.

The Tigers (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA). The Bobcats come into the 5A Group 4 game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Marshalltown got by Lincoln (Des Moines, IA), 27-14, in a non-league game.
