The Wagner Thunderbirds thwarted the visiting Boerne-Champion Chargers football team by a count of 34-21 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Wagner upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Hays (Buda, TX) to encounter the Hawks in a 5A-1 Region III District 12 outing on Friday, October 20. The Hawks go into the outing with a record of 3-4. Hays lost 42-24 in their recent league outing against Seguin (Seguin, TX)

With the loss, Boerne-Champion moves to 6-1 on the season. The Chargers host Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX) to encounter the Rangers in a 5A-1 Region III District 12 outing on Friday, October 20. The Rangers go into the outing with a record of 6-1. Smithson Valley won 62-0 in their recent league outing against MacArthur (San Antonio, TX)
