Louisiana High School Football - Canton Academy trounces Riverfield Academy
October 13, 2023: Rayville, LA 71269 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Canton Academy Panthers football squad scored a big 40-0 victory over the Riverfield Academy Raiders.
In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Indianola Academy Colonels (Indianola, MS) in a MAIS 3A District 2 match, on Friday, October 20. Canton Academy will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Colonels enter the match with a 1-8 record after their 35-0 non-league win over Sylva Bay Academy (Bay Springs, MS).
The Raiders (2-7) will now prepare for their match against St. Joseph (Greenville, MS). The Fighting Irish enter the MAIS 3A District 3 match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, St. Joseph was crushed by Adams County Christian (Natchez, MS), 28-6, in a non-league match.
