The Wesson Cobras thwarted the host Franklin County Bulldogs football team by a count of 34-14 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Wesson upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Cobras host South Pike (Magnolia, MS) to encounter the Eagles in a 3A Region 7 outing on Friday, October 20. The Eagles go into the outing with a record of 6-2. South Pike won 30-22 in their recent league outing against Jefferson County (Fayette, MS)

With the loss, Franklin County moves to 3-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Port Gibson (Port Gibson, MS) to encounter the Blue Waves in a 3A Region 7 outing on Friday, October 20. The Blue Waves enter the bout with a record of 2-6. Port Gibson lost 20-14 in their recent non-league bout against Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS)
