The Valley Christian Academy Lions football team (Santa Maria, CA), was knocked off 49-32 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Fresno Christian Eagles (Fresno, CA)

The Eagles (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sierra (Tollhouse, CA). The Chieftains come into the Central Sierra (8 Man) challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Sierra knocked off Orcutt Academy (Orcutt, CA), 44-14, in a league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Coastal Christian for a Coast Valley (8 Man) challenge on Saturday, October 21. Valley Christian Academy will meet a Conquerors team coming off a 68-38 league loss to Cuyama Valley (New Cuyama, CA). The Conquerors record now stands at 2-4.
