The West Rusk Raiders (New London, TX) football overcame the visiting Grand Saline Indians (Grand Saline, TX), 41-19 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Raiders clash with the Troup Tigers (Troup, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 9 bout, on Friday, October 20. West Rusk will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 7-0 record after their 35-28 league win over Arp (Arp, TX).

The Indians (3-5) will now prepare for their bout against Winona (Winona, TX). The Wildcats enter the 3A-2 Region III District 9 bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Winona was toppled by West Rusk (New London, TX), 55-7, in a league bout.
