South Carolina High School Football - Newberry routed by Gray Collegiate Academy
October 13, 2023: Newberry, SC 29108 The Newberry Bulldogs football team (Newberry, SC), was ripped 72-12 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles (West Columbia, SC)
The War Eagles (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL). The Ascenders come into the non-league challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, IMG Academy trounced Pine Forest (Pensacola, FL), 55-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Columbia for a AA Region 4 challenge on Friday, October 20. Newberry will meet a Capitals team coming off a 55-6 league loss to Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC). The Capitals record now stands at 3-6.
