The Greensburg Salem Golden Lions football team (Greensburg, PA), was ripped 46-12 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA)

The Scotties (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Belle Vernon (Belle Vernon, PA). The Leopards come into the WPIAL AAA Interstate challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Belle Vernon trounced Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA), 55-7, in a league challenge.

The Golden Lions now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Elizabeth Forward for a WPIAL AAA Interstate challenge on Friday, October 20. Greensburg Salem will meet a Warriors team coming off a 49-14 league win over South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 8-0.
