North Carolina High School Football - Mallard Creek topped by Hough

The Mallard Creek Mavericks football team (Charlotte, NC), was beaten 23-6 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC)

The Huskies (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Rams come into the 3A/4A Queen City challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Harding University was beaten by West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC), 72-7, in a league challenge.

The Mavericks now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Mecklenburg for a 3A/4A Queen City challenge on Friday, October 20. Mallard Creek will meet a Hawks team coming off a 40-13 league win over Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 3-5.
