The Independence Wildcats football squad scored 32 points and restricted the visiting North Panola Cougars to 28 in the Wildcats league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coahoma County for a 3A Region 2 battle on Thursday, October 26.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Rosa Fort Lions (Tunica, MS) in a 3A Region 2 battle, on Friday, October 20. North Panola will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 5-3 record after their 62-32 league win over Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS).
