Game Story

North Carolina High School Football - Laney trounces New Hanover

October 13, 2023: Wilmington, NC 28405

In Friday's league match, the host Laney Buccaneers football squad scored a big 35-0 victory over the New Hanover Wildcats.

In their next game, the Buccaneers clash with the North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A match, on Friday, October 20. Laney will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Scorpions enter the match with a 6-2 record after their 51-13 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).

The Wildcats (4-4) will now prepare for their match against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Trojans enter the Mideastern 3A/4A match with a 0-8 record. In their last match, West Brunswick was trounced by North Brunswick (Leland, NC), 51-13, in a league test.
